Unity for Educators: A Beginners Guide

Unity is the leading real-time 3D development platform globally, and more educators than ever use it to prepare their students for high-demand technology jobs. Over the last year, demand for VR and AR jobs grew 1,400 percent, and game development roles continue to grow rapidly. Set your students up for a successful future and empower them to be the creators of tomorrow.

Unity for Educators: A Beginner’s Guide is a four-week course created by teachers and inspired by the experiences of passionate and innovative Unity educators worldwide. Instructors and guest speakers will introduce you to creating and teaching with Unity, best practices for bringing 3D interactive technology into the classroom and learning alongside your students. Spoiler alert: you don’t need to be an expert in Unity to teach it.

Each week will consist of three hours of self-paced learning and an optional one-hour live session to connect with fellow learners, hear from experts, and get personalized support from the Unity education team.
Class starts on July 13, and live sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 9am and 5pm PT. You can register for the time that works for you, or select both if you need flexibility.

Through this course you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience with Unity and understand its wide-ranging applications and career possibilities
  • Create your own 3D interactive project with Unity
  • Develop a teaching plan for integrating Unity into your classroom, program or curriculum
  • Understand the Unity ecosystem and how to make the most of Unity Learn, teaching resources and an active, supportive educator community
