Unity Educators Live learning series

Unity Educators Live is a new series of free professional development sessions facilitated by Unity Education and our educator community. This series is open to all education professionals at the secondary and post-secondary levels, including instructors, school administrators, program managers, and curriculum designers.

Unity Educators Live is designed to support educators to facilitate Unity teaching and stay informed about the rapidly evolving fields of real-time and interactive development. Sessions focus on a variety of topics, including how to teach Unity across subject areas, the latest technological developments, helpful pedagogical approaches, and educator spotlights. You'll also hear from guest industry and education speakers and engage in structured interactions with other teachers.

Sessions will cover issues including:

  • The current state of interactive development in classrooms
  • Best practices for distance-teaching Unity
  • How to prepare teaching materials for emerging subjects like AR/VR, simulation, and new media
  • How Unity technology is applied in fields like film and animation, architecture, engineering and construction, and art and design
  • How students can collaborate on projects using tools like GitHub and Unity Collaborate
  • Tactics for increasing student diversity in your Unity courses

Unity Educators Live starts on September 15, 2020 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, and will be held biweekly on Tuesdays from 5 p.m.–6 p.m. PT, through December 2020.

Please register for the entire series, then attend the sessions that are best suited to your interests and availability.
